Still in Texas
I'm a grad of UT, Texas Woman's, and UNT. And hopefully, soon will be the oldest new sorority girl on GC. (May take a while, but I've waited this long ....)
There really is no place like Texas!!

Greek in progress?
Hi Folks--
I'm a Texan By Choice--Houston-area.
If my pursuit of AI is successful I'll be initiated through a chapter either at Univ of Houston or Texas A&M. (Sorry, can't give you TOO many clues yet. <g>)
I was born a Jersey/New England Yankee, but I'm here to stay now. Does this count?

Not many Greeks in Texas???
This would be a big shock to me. . .everyone knows that in Texas, if you aren't in ROTC or some regiment program, you'd better be a Greek!!!!!

adduncan,
I wish you the best of luck in procuring initiation from a chapter at the latter. Especially if you get a chance to come and spend time in College Station.
Nothing beats being an Aggie, except maybe being a Greek Aggie

Resident Texan... though my chapter (now defunct) was Alpha Alpha Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi at the University of Oklahoma. Don't know why, but National HQ hasn't tapped the Texas Greek community yet!

Oh, I'm a Texan too
My chapter used to be at SMU but it closed
I have no clue why either
But it's been instilled in me by all of my older friends and relatives. . .
Greek life is mandatory. . .and I love it.

i was a texan!!
Lived in San Antonio for 6 years in grade school (a catholic school of Callahan Rd). Just looking at these Texas threads makes me miss it. I went back to SA two years ago on my way to South Padre, after spending a day in Houston.

Hello Texas Greeks,
I'm from San Antonio born and raised. Went to School at UNT for two years, UTSA for one. took last semester off to work but now I am at SAC retaking a few courses so I'm able to graduate from UNT in spring of 2004. I miss North Texas its so different from South Texas.

Woohooo another NT Eagle!!!
Yep north texas is way different than south texas.. but i still miss being so close to the beach! When I went to school in south texas we would take random late night raids to the beach and have bonfires!

I live in San Antonio now, but I'm orginally from the Austin area. I miss Austin life so much! It's totally different from San Antonio...much faster.
