I actually really like when people write out checks in stores.

There are people out there who 1) don't like to carry lots of cash, and 2) have had bad experiences with or don't believe in credit cards. If writing checks is what they need to do to keep organized and independent - particularly older people - more power to them.

If more cities would be progressive and create bike lanes, bikes on the road wouldn't be a problem. We have them here, and it makes a WORLD of difference. If a place is too behind the times to see this is something they should do, don't blame the bikers. They're just trying to be green, stay fit and save money.

People who take their shoes off at work. I have to share my office, so I'm kinda sensitive about this. It's not my problem your shoes aren't comfortable. I don't want to smell your corn chip stank. Put your shoes on.

LOL. My problem on planes, again, is that the space is so confined. One time (I'll never forget it), I had a guy bring onto the plane what was quite possibly the most disgusting smelling sandwich, and it was 9:00 in the morning. At that time, if I'm hungry at all, I want eggs, fruit, cereal.. something light. The last thing I want to smell is whatever the hell this guy was shoving into his face.. and yes, he slurped, and chewed with his mouth open while he ate. I was seriously almost sick. I could tell that the woman next to me wasn't thrilled, either.

I asked for my 8 year old son's stop to be moved not because of the distance, but because it required him to cross two streets, including one VERY busy one near the high school - those kids go flying down the street on a regular basis. His age and the streets he was required to cross lead the district to approve the new bus stop. He is the most important thing in the universe to me, and I'm happy he can walk home from the bus stop without risking being run over by some high schooler who is busy busting the speed limit and texting. (Had one driver run into the lamp post across from my house because she dropped her phone and decided to bend down and hunt for it while going 35 mph.)
Again, I can definitely understand in some situations. But at times, it's crazy to have that many bus stops. Even my bus stop was eventually split into two (and one was literally about 50 feet from the other) because the school district thought that there were too many kids at one bus stop. Stupid.

I don't mind if people write checks, but be considerate! If you know you need to write a check, fill in the date, sign your name, and make it out to the relevant person/place while the cashier is ringing up your items.. or at least seem concerned that you're wasting other people's time. Many people could care less. THAT's what bugs me.

They're younger people. Probably in their 40s, 30s and 20s. I think part of the problem too is me and my driving simulator time LOL.

iGuffawed.

BTW I take off my shoes all the time, but only when they don't stink. If they are those older shoes that have had water splashed on them a time or two, I have enough decency to spare the greater populace.

This is too funny. Just the mental image of the whole thing is making me laugh. Well, I honestly believe in the old saying "you are what you eat". So if he's consistently putting food that smells like that inside of his body, then he probably smells like that, too lol.

I've smelled food through some peoples pores before. It's usually people from other cultures/countries who eat a lot of the same foods. My grandparents are Italian (both born and raised in Toscana, Italy), and I remember the constant smell of garlic through their pores, it was kind of annoying. My dad did most of the cooking in our household, but he was born here, not in Italy, so he cooked a variety of foods. I thank him for that, or some of my peers in grade school and high school would have been like, "ewww cheerful, you smell like garlic lol.

Speaking of my dad, he started an Italian bakery (before he passed away) that my mom still runs/owns, and some of what we sell is so good. Yummy.

Exactly.

As far as reality shows go, I must defend at least some of them. That's because I'm already psyched for Survivor tonight, and I love The Amazing Race. There's a big difference between reality shows like them and Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

*People who talk about money all the time (either how much they have or how broke they are.) I was brought up not to really discuss that so it's always really awkward.

*I really don't care if you're going to be late, but it bugs me if you don't call/text/somethng to let me know and I'm just waiting for you.

*Comments about what another person is eating and its caloric content or something else. Ex: I have a vegan super healthy co-worker who asked me the other day if I knew how many calories were in my Pumpkin Spiced Latte. My internal response? More than all the fucks I give.

*Weight-related comments. Especially of the "You're so skinny! do you EVER eat?" variety. I'm tempted to answer "Just on Wednesdays" to someone and see how they react.

*Bring their children into restaurants, particularly ones that are not child friendly.

*People who are unable to go anywhere or do anything without their significant other. Even worse, they take on ALL of their SO's hobbies and interests.

LOL that depends on what you consider to be 'provocatively dressed'. I actually prefer females who are proud of their bodies. You like women who dress like nuns? LOL man, if you were around me and my boys some of them would question your masculinity based on this comment LOL. So, if you saw a girl that had it going on, body was all that, big booty, everything, and she was showing what she had, that would bother you? I don't know a dude on the planet who wouldn't get a second or even a third glance at that. If I was with a girl like that, and dudes were checking her out, I would find it to be flattering because she's with me and not with them. I feel you on the saggy pants. That's just young right there.

I don't hate anyone, but why on Earth would you do something as tacky as bringing a "full course meal" into the movies?

People who misuse words, especially when they're trying to come off as being intelligent.

People who stop at a stop light leaving almost 2 car lengths between them and the car in front of them.

People who eat during meetings because they can. (Similarly, people that chew with their mouth open, making smacking noises and also spitting bits of food particles everywhere.)

People who have an office, yet do not close their door when they decide to take all of their calls on speakerphone. Yes, we get it. You're important.

People that speak unprofessionally in the office or in meetings. ("And, like, so this guy from such-and-such came up here, and whatever, and like totally said that he would like do that thingy, which is like AWESOME, cause I don't wanna like do it, ya know?") (I heard that gem in the office today.)

PEOPLE WHO TYPE LIKE THIS. or lyk thisssssssssss.

People that charge into elevators before I've had the chance to get off, and then give me a look or a huff when I excuse myself to try and get by.

ETA: People blame everyone in this area for being bad drivers- DC drivers cause they don't drive often so are just bad all around, MD drivers because they are CRAZY in speed/no turn signal/cutting people off, and VA for never knowing where they're going. C'est la vie.

People that walk down a sidewalk (or hallway, in the mall, etc) 3 to 4 people across so you can't get by.

My neighbors who never mow or do anything else to their lawn (despite having 3 middle school- and high school-aged boys), so that when we pick up our leaves, theirs blow into ours within a couple of hours, and when we spend weeks trying to eradicate crabgrass, the spores from their full-lawn crabgrass makes it a waste.

Yes, yes, yes.

I had one co-worker who would be on a conference call and leave the door open and the speakerphone on full blast while he went to the bathroom. Funny how when he came back, he would always find his door closed. (He's lucky he didn't also find the phone hung up for him.)

*Sanctmonious types who make a big deal out of not having/watching TV and/or cable (I dunno if this is just a hippie town thing, but I hate it.) I get it. I'm vapid and a idiot because I like TV.

*Sanctivegans or sactivegetarians (term coined by one of my friends.) You know, those people who go out of their way to talk about it all the time and put down others for their food choices. I get it. I am going to die tomorrow because I ate grilled chicken on my salad. You, however are a shining beacon of all that is healthy with your PB&J and Easy Mac for lunch.

*People who put people down to make themselves feel better about their circumstances. Ex: Relative has a GED and multiple babydaddies. Therefore she makes fun of me for being a "forever student." It's perfectly okay for her to ask "when are you ever going to be done with school?" But if I ask "when are you going to stop procreating and collecting welfare?," I'm being snobby/elitist/rude.

*People who make their every emotion known on FB. Awkward.

*People who have to relate every single statement someone makes in a conversation to THEMSELVES.

Ex: Me and a friend talking about books we like.
Guy: "I published 3 novels, blah blah blah."
