Hey all--
Well, last week I wasn't as good at the gym, so I didn't lose anything but I didn't gain anything either. This week I lost 2.2 pounds, which puts me at a total of 10.6 pounds lost.
My goal is to lose 20 by the first GEORGIA game of the season(Sept 4th), so I have about 4 weeks to lose 9 more pounds. I think I can do it!!
Keep up the good work everyone!

My mom has done it for years and has kept it off. She doesn't follow it as strictly (measuring points) but she knows what she should eat and the amount and does it.
Definitly the safest, sanest way to lose weight.

I can't work out in the mornings because I have trouble getting up. I am not a morning person. It my complete and utter boredom in my job that makes me snack. If I was busy or had interesting work to do, I think I wouldn't snack, but as you can see I don't which is why I spend half my day on the internet.

Do you drink tea or coffee?
When I bring one of those in (thermos) it helps.... it's still the hand-to-mouth action. Well, plus my thermos sucks so I'm always walking to the kitchen to use the microwave.

Honest to god it probably was... Exercise is a heck of a lot better than sitiing around, and it allows you to eat what you want...

I just started Weight Watchers this week. I am not saying how much I weigh but if I compare their scale to my doctor's scale, I have lost 8 lbs. in 3 weeks without trying.
As ya'll all know, I gained MASSIVE weight during college due to depression. I gained WAY more than the typical freshman 15 (60 lbs. to be exact plus some after I graduated from college). Cross your fingers for me!

New CORE Plan
So is anyone switching to the new CORE plan? The skinny is you get to eat as much of the "core" foods as you want until you're satisfied. Anything that isn't on the core foods list, you have to account for.
You'd be amazed at how many foods are on the core list -- and as long as it's on the core list, you don't have to count it! You still have to exercise portion control though - this isn't an all you can eat plan.
You get 35 Weekly Points at the start of each week to use for non-core foods, and of course, you can still exchange activity points for food.
I've been doing the Core plan for the past two days and it really put into perspective how many points I was spending on useless junk just because it was low in points.

What's this?? Is this through WW, or is it a completely seperate diet?
Is there a website??
I'm back at WW. Not doing to well. Lost 3 poubnds and put it all back on. The good thing is that I am still going. LAst time I put weight on, I stopped going all together because I was afraid of the scale.
I've also started a buddy system with my friend. We're going to check in once a week and see how well we've been doing, and help each other out by giving criticisms and praises when needed.
We've also decided to work out in a big group either by going swimming (a friend has a pool in her apartment) or working out at one of our homes.

Yeah I haven't heard of this. But I am curious and want to know.
Well I have been really busy and haven't been posting my success but just to give everyone an update I am now down just over 40 lbs. Yeah!!
Lady Pi Phi-Don't get frustrated with a gain. I have had it happen more times than not. I know it is frustrating but it will go away. Exercise and water are the key.

The new plan is being rolled out this week. Go to your meeting, and you'll find out all about it.
