YOU NEED TO GO TO A MEETING. That's where I get my motivation. I feel so good after a meeting. I thought I gained this week so I told the girl just to take my card and write in the number. I didn't want to hear it and get depressed. Then I went to the meeting and the meeting topic was What to do when you lose you motivation. That was RIGHT ON TIME. The next day I took out my card and looked. I lost .2 pounds! Hey...it's something especially since I thought I gained since I did so bad last week. I'm 2 pounds away from my 5 pound star. I want my star dammit!!!! and I'm going to get it!!

Don't give up girls...we can do this.

Honestly, I don't really like the meetings. I don't find them motivational at all. I think it's my leader. Often I don't pay attention to what she's saying because I find her really boring. I usually sit through the meeting, but I don't pay attention. Last meeting I went to my mum and I chatted through the whole thing (quietly of course). I miss this weekends meeting, but I did go the weekend before (although I didn't stay for the meeting because I had to go to initiation).

Then you need to find a new meeting time or center that has a better leader. I had that problem when I did WW at work. The leader SUCKED. She lost 150+ pounds and taught the class like everybody had that much to lose and I just couldn't get with the little games she wanted to play during the meeting etc. She was just horrible. I also tried to go to a meeting around my old job and the meeting was filled with little old ladies! nobody my age. it was like geriatric WW and the topics were geared to them. BOOOOORING.

You have to find something to motivate even if it's just setting mini goals. My first goal is to get my first 5 pound star. They didn't hand out stars when I did WW last time and I want my star dammit.

The last meeting I went to was sooooo boring. It wasn't my regular meeting time either. I felt more bummed out than motivated. I didn't even go to a meeting last this past week. I will go this coming Monday and let you know how I did.

Oh BTW, I sometimes have a substitute leader that I find very irritating. When she is there, I wish to just weigh in and leave immediately. However, for some reason I stay.

So last week my parents were on vacation so we didn't weigh. We are planning doing it on Wednesday of this week. My parents are worred about it but I am not too worried because Disneyland didn't seem to hurt me to bad. We were so busy that I hardly ate and when I did I found the fruit carts very handy. Also a lot of the places now sell salads along with their burgers. My dad and I have hit a plateau and need to do something to start moving again. We were doing so good for so long and even though our eating habits haven't changed, we are stuck.

I stopped keeping track for about a month because the Cadbury mini eggs were killing me. But now I've started up again. I've been taking our puppy on 20-30 min walks 2x a day, so at least I'm getting some form of exercise.

I went to my meeting and was afraid the scale went up. I am happy to report that I lost 3.2 pounds. I couldn't believe it! I wasn't even journaling, but I did some exercise though.

WW is driving me crazy

Okay so my mom and I have been doing this whole Weight Watchers binge (if you can call it that) for the last 3 years off and on...What drives me crazy is I will gain all this weight then take it off and then either my mom or I will quite going for some "really good excuse" at the time, then we gain all the wait we already lost and then some..But then its like I start all over again. It drives me crazy cause I know my body is going what the heck is with this yo-yo girl doing to me....So anyway, the reason why I was going to post here is I weighed in today....When I graduated high school I was 100.5 pounds...which doesnt sound good but I am only 5'4, and very small framed...now I am 5'4 and I when I first weighed in I was nearly 200 pounds....Well today I went to weigh in, thinking I am have gained cause I started to workout again and I didnt do well with Easter being last week and all...You all know the excuses we make...Well I was def. surprised when I weighed in and I became life-time member cuase I hit not only my 20% but my first of many goals of getting back down to my ideal weight...I know can say proudly I weigh 150 lbs....Today on my little membership book it says that I have lost a total of 52.6 pounds in 3 years...My fiance and I are going to celebrate...I am so excited as well as he is...especially since I had my sister try on my wedding dress, becuase I wanted the dress in this certain size and I could fit into it just yet...well today I went and tried it on, and not only does it fit but I need to have it taken in some...Yeah for me.

So my advice to all of you who are doing weight watchers or are thinking about it...Keeping doing it...drinks lots of water, excersie, and write down every little thing you eat...you will surprise yourself. Good luck to all of you

what does the journaling consist of? and do you just write down what you eat or do you total calories and whatnot?

I am not going to join weight watchers. i think i would get a lot of weird looks. i am 5'1" and weigh 125 lbs... not overweight by any means. However, I am 26% body fat, which isn't ghastly... but it's not great either. So I am trying to lose body fat while gaining muscle. And that being said, does writing down what you consume really help you? Right now I am exercising at least 3 times a week (however this week is kind of a break because my knee has been killing me) and weight training. My diet is fair... but i cheat once in a while.

Because weight Watchers works on a point system and depending on weight you are alloted a certain amount of points, plus 35 flex points (that can be alot depending on what food you choose).
Each food has a points value and you write down what you eat and keep track of it's points value so you achieve your required points target.

i don't do weight watchers. i just count calories. when you journal that way, just write what you ate and how many calories were in it. for example, i have to keep an eye on more than just calories so i would write out the calories, fat, sugar and sodium i take in. all of which have to stay low for me. not overly difficult, but interesting. i have a whole bunch of info on keeping all of the above mentioned things in check. did you know that watermelon is not good for someone who has to watch their sugar intake? seriously, i have a lot of good info. pm me if you'd like more info.

ps - i got the belly dancing dvd and it's funny as all get out. my friend and i did it the other day and wow, good workout.
