sorry i haven't posted back...i was waiting to see some of the responses from individuals. to start off, i honestly am not looking for sympathy. sympathy doesn't do anyone a lick of good. secondly, this is not setting right with me because during my entire time that charges were being filed against me, the chapter was not following the constitution. when i talked to the advisors about it, brought up things to the executive board members, the told me that it was vague so that the organization had the ability to interpret it the way they saw fit. our elections were not run correctly, tried to confront the organization about that (appropriate people), i got brought up to standards. when ritual was not being followed and i attempted to call nationals and ask questions, i got accused of insubordination and i became ineligible for a little because of my actions (a decision made before i even got to meet with the standards board (contradicting our local and national constitution)). double jeopardy, for lack of a better word was happening, i appealed decisions and got more punishments for trying to appeal. i got removed from my office without giving time to appeal (contradiciting the constitution)). then i was removed from the organization based on a combination of things that had already been brought before 2 months prior. that is in a nut shell what is going on. i was never allowed to contact nationals, and if i ever did again, i would be accused of insubordination.
things are not right in the organization, i have been trying desperatly to help the organization that i helped to create, but every time i have tried i have been shot down. other individuals in the organization have contacted me saying that they want to try and do something, but they are afraid to try anything. that is where i am at right now, i tried to help make a change, have individuals follow the constitution, and yet, the org as a whole is not. i have a hard time turning my back when something is wrong, i don't know if it is because i care too much, or it is sheer stupidity...

Is this an NPC organization? If it is, contact your (inter)national office and talk to someone involved with membership relations. Make sure you write down exactly what happened in very explicit terms with no beating around the bush. Don't accuse anyone of wrong doing, just explain the events and then ASK if the appropriate actions were performed. It is NEVER insubordination to clarify your rights.

If I'm guessing your affiliation correctly, there are several members of your organization who post frequently here on GC. I believe some hold national/regional leadership positions as well, so maybe they'll be able to help you.
Try to contact them via PM if you can.

yes, it is an inter-national office. i have attempted to contact them, and yet when i attempt to contact them, the issue just gets filtered down to the same individuals, and no clarifying happens. i wrote a letter asking to be contacted outlining all of the issues, in great detail, saved emails, even brought emails to the standards meetings, and they were disregarded. i emailed them constitutionally where things went wrong, asking for clarification, and it just got filtered down to the same set of advisors and i just get brought to standards again. if you have any suggestions, please share them. i can try again, its just i am anticipating a dead end right now.

If you've contacted someone at your international HQ, and no one has responded personally to you, reattempt to contact HQ, inform them that the issue has not been resolved through the previously attempted avenues and ask if you can speak with someone higher up the food chain. At this point, it sounds like you have nothing to lose.

And definitely tell them that the advisors are not doing their jobs, because they're not.

And if that does not work, your school should have an ombudsman (someone within the school's administration that serves as an advocate for the students) that should be able to contact HQ on your behalf. Frankly, no HQ wants to receive a call from the university's administration regarding possible mistreatment or lack of due process etc.
Now because of the nature of GLOs, and the potential sensitive/confidential nature of your issues, the ombudsman may not be able to take up some/all of your specific issues. However, they can request that you receive a return phone call or email from the HQ. Or even have you in the room when they make that call.
Ombudsman to HQ: "I have gvgrl87 in my office and *we* would like to set up a time when you or someone from HQ can talk with her regarding her concerns."

Is it possible to petition the NPC laws about not being about to join another NPC sorority after you've already been in one?

NO.
Are you asking for yourself or just out of general curiousity? I thought from your other posts you had yet to join a sorority.

I disaffiliated with my NPC sorority. I wish they would say that before you initiate into the sorority. I had no idea that there was no way out, even if it was the sororities fault. That seems highly unfair. What if the chapter didn't do anything while other sororities did? What if they harrassed or completely gave a girl the silent treatment to force her out? What about that? There should be a way to petition it.

Read the stuff that people give you and listen to what they say. I seriously doubt you went through the entire new member period and never were told this.
I'm sorry your experience was a bad one, but once you are initiated, it's too late to switch NPC groups.

Perhaps they gave you the silent treatment because you were trying to get into KKG.
It's great to be friendly with other groups, but not at the expense of your own.

I wanted to add to this, from re-reading the thread:
Instead of talking to people at headquarters, call the VP of collegians (or whatever it is called in your org) or someone else on your sorority's national council DIRECTLY, at their home.
The employees at headquarters do not necessarily have the same authority to do things that Council does.
I wouldn't ordinarily advise this but it sounds like you're getting the runaround from someone at HQ who isn't sure what to do.
