I totally couldn't do it. Leslie used to be predominantly a man's name. Now I believe there are many more Leslie's that are female (at least in the U.S.). It would actually really creep me out. "I love you, Leslie." "Oh, Leslie!" ICK!!

My name rhymes! Well, not my full name. My last name rhymes with Jess. It used to irritate me in middle school, but I kind of like it now. People remember me. I know a Jen Hren (her maiden name) and a Janice Kaplanis (her married name). I think one-syllable rhymes aren't as weird as multi-syllables ones.
Dating a Jesse would be okay, since I do not go by Jessie, though it'd annoy me if other people call him Jess.
Dating someone with my Dad's name would be weird for sure, though Larry isn't very common in my age group, so probability is on my side. I don't get along with my one brother, so Daniel/Dan would be tough, too.

My name is too feminine to ever worry about this happening, but I've known both a Leigh/Lee and a Lynn/Lynne couples.
But the best one was the roomie of a friend of mine in NYC. His name was Frank, and his boyfriend's name was Frank (he was totally gorgeous!). My friend & I visited them one weekend, and afterwards sent a thank you note that had dauschunds on the front and said, "Franks A Lot!" on the inside!

My name is Chris and I had a girlfriend Chris in college - same spelling. I never really thought about it much and it certainly didn't affect our relationship.

my name is a derivitive of a male name with an "A" tacked onto the end. however, i've never run into a man from this generation with the root word for my name.

I haven't dated someone with my name, but here's something I think is strange. My current boyfriend's last girlfriend had the same first name as me AND my ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend also has the first name as me...

I'd actually be quite scared if I met a man named Brianna.

I don't think I would particularly care for my SO to have my name, or a name similar to mine. With my name, the combo is possible and happens. I guess it's one of those things you'd have to get used to ...
My husband has the same name as my dad and my grandmother's husband, but they use a different nickname of the name, so it's not as strange as it could be.

Cynthia is obviously a female name, so unless I start batting for the other team, I won't be going out with any Cynthias. I did know two Alexes (an Alexander and an Alexandra)who dated though. We used to joke that if they married and had kids, their children should be Sasha and Lexi.

I've seen Chris/Chris several times. In my HS many years ago, there was a Monica /Monte couple. I currently know a Taylor/Tyler couple.

The closest masculine name to mine would be Emil, but I really don't think it would be that weird for me to date some with that name.
I know a girl who is dating a guy and she has the same first name as his ex. She also has the same last name as as her boyfriend.
