I'm still on the fence about DuWop Lip Venom.
It always gets awesome reviews in magazines and Sephora's "Best of Beauty"...but I'm just not that impressed. Sometimes the results are alright but most of the time I'm disappointed.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has tried it...

I don't really buy expensive makeup in dept stores cuz I don't wear much of it to begin with. I recently bought that new garnier shampoo to straighten my hair/prevent flyaways since it is so thick and the weather is so humid here. It works pretty good this far but smells horrible. The conditioner smells fine though.

I'm using Garnier shampoo/conditioner right now and haven't noticed a big difference in my hair. I'll probably switch back to Aveda after these bottles, though, because I haven't had a haircut in 6 months and the ends are pretty dry.

I never got the hullabaloo about Great Lash either. It never worked well for me, and I would even clean the wand off before using.

Lancome Definicils Waterproof worked okay for me, but wasn't superfantastic, either.

I'm not fond of the stickiness of my MAC Lipglass or TwoFaced Lip Injection, but I love the shine, so I'll deal.

I like my Rosebud Salve, but hate that I smell like a grandma after using it.

I'm kind of Meh about my MAC studio fix foundation. It works okay, but I still get shiny after a few hours, and I use a mattifer with it. I want to try Bare Escentuals, but haven't gotten around to ordering any testers.

I don't know about Dermafina, but Proactiv is just basically a high dose of Benzoyl Peroxide. My derm gave me a sample of some other BP cream that made me look like I'd sunburned my entire face, but now I use a 2.5% solution every night. You have to start with small amounts every other day and build up a tolerance to it.

It's okay, but not great IMO. Know what I've tried that I really like? LipFusion. It's available at Sephora. It's very overpriced, but I love how it makes my lips look. If you're so inclined, I recommend you give it a try. Sephora is great about returns if you don't like it.

Where do you order the testers from. I'm interested in trying that.

I, too, am interested in ordering testers for BE. I had a makeover done in their store, but wearing it one evening isn't enough to convince me.

A couple of my friends swear by bare escentuals (sp?). I definitely always get sucked in to the QVC show if I flip past it but have never actually ordered it. I'm in LOVE with the Chanel Double Perfection Fluide, so I don't think I'll ever try it...but they seem great for my friends!

Sephora has a Complexion Perfection kit which has the basic things you need for a good deal (it looks like, anyway)
Bare Escentuals Complextion Perfection

There's a BE thread on the other message board I frequent and the girls swear by this website.
www.beaddicts.com
It looks like there's a few different websites you can order samples from. I know some of the girls have ordered from the different places and all have been happy with the service and promptness of delivery.

Ooooh, I'm going to have to try that. I use Nature's Gate herbal shampoo and conditioner and they're great, but variety is good.

As for overrated, I'm not thrilled with the Blue Malva conditioner I got from Aveda. My hair is still horrible to comb through after using it.

OMG I tried that and it made my hair like hay...ew. On that note I think KMS hair products are extremely overrated, as are Tigi. I enjoy Biolage and Paul Mitchell...the only ones that don't seem to dry out my hair or leave a weird residue.

I like the MAC stuff I've used -- mainly lipglass and eye shadow -- Vex is a nice color.

However, I like Urban Decay better.

Maybelline Great Lash is the ONLY thing I can use that doesn't get all clumpy and gross on me. I always feel like I should be using better mascaras, so I try them, but I end up going back to Great Lash two days later because the other stuff looks so bad. And I've never ever had any raccoon-eye problems with it. But honestly, I'm sure it just has something to do with the kind of eyelashes you have.
