I voted at 7:30 this morning. It took about an hour because of the long lines, but I didn't mind waiting. It was SO refreshing to see so many of our young people out casting their votes.
All we can do now is pray and wait.

I voted earlier this morning and I'm volunteering on a campaign for state senate this evening. So I'm doing my part and I hope that everyone else does theirs.

VERY REFRESHING!!
I saw a girl Saturday reading her Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul standing in line waiting to vote.

Anticipating a long line, I got to my polling place at 6:30 this morning when it opened. The line inside the building was already more than 200 deep--at 6:30. Most everybody stayed and, for the most part, was patient.
I felt good seeing us man-up and just do the thing....

I just voted
There is such a good feeling, like some intrinsic value in voting. I was in and out in 5 mins, my polling station was at the house at the end of my block .
And I got a "thanks for coming out" from the woman there and they were serving refreshments too...he he

Re: do the thang....
Co-sign! Not voting is slapping our ancestors in the face! They fought and died for that right.
Heading out in about 25 minutes to go vote before heading to work

I voted at 10:45 am CST. Proudly wearing the "I Voted" sticker they give you when you exit. I strategized to get there between the early morning voters and the lunch crowd and it worked--only took 30 minutes.

i voted and it took over 2 hours... NOT because the line was long... but because the building was not open at 7:00 AM like it was supposed to be!!!
I am not complaining - because we know how it used to be and i am thankful i had the opportunity (again) to participate in the democratic process... however - i wonder how many people left before the doors opened?
Apparently, someone didn't have a key to the building or a code for the machine or something - so we couldn't even go inside until everything was set up.
I showed up at 7:30 and i say it must have been 8:30 before i got inside... and then another hour inside to actually check in and cast my ballot. At least i took a good book, "Any Way the Wind Blows"...

I voted at about 10:15 and was done around 10:35. There were only a few people in line...maybe 20 or so.
One comment...if you are going to pass out flyers for a candidate on election day, please know their advantages and why you think I should vote for them. I asked the guy passing out flyers for a presidential candidate why I should vote for this guy. His response was "Who are your other choices?" If I was truly an undecided voter, that would not have compelled me to vote for his candidate. I simply would have been more confused and played iny-miny-miney-moe
Just my $0.08...

Voted at 7:30am! No problems to report, but I've heard of some here in Cali. Apparently in South Orange County, one voter was told to remove her sweatshirt that had an American flag on it. Apparently they considered this "propaganda"...it didn't say anything on it!

By the time I was done, the room and line was outstanding!!!
