I'm sorry . . . I can't imagine that could be easy.
I have a question though -- how can your nationals have any say over whether or not you guys hang out together? If you're not a chapter anymore, it's not like they can sanction you or anything. So how can they enforce that?

i hate the way nationals works sometimes. they did the same thing to the asa chapter at my school. then my chapter closed, but we at least got to vote on it.
asa nationals seem harsh. i say live it up til the end of the year. oh, by the way, they can't tell you and your sisters you can't meet. that's bullsh!t. what are they going to do? nothing. meet, have fun, tell nationals where to go.
suggestion, do what my chapter did, have a huge keg party and get a stripper.

I am a member of the BK Chapter, and National did not say that we could not see each other or hang out. They simply stated that we have to be careful because we are still under the Bylaws, and we are no longer covered under ASA insurance. The girls ARE allowed to see each other, but if are get-to-gethers are viewed as an "ASA event", and something happens, then there is a chance of our alumna status being revoked.

So sorry to hear about the closing of your chapter. I hope that you and your chapter sisters will remain very close as alumnae.

I am so sorry to read about the closing of your chapter. It's very sad and disappointing to read about any chapter of any GLO closing.

If you will excusse this but is a very biting situation with me!
Is it a numbers crunch, or a money crunch?
ASLana knows how I feel on this subject as we have conversed at times and one of my Brothers is married to a ASA DGM (?) if that is the right term!
We almost lost our Charter several years back, I fought like hell for it as an Alum and callked everyone I knew and put it out on our site!
Well, the Charter was saved!
But, that does not make it right unless there were many other problems than #'s. If that is the case, then, the Nationioal chould get off of their tired selfs (NO BUTTS ) .
Beleive me, for what I have done for my Fraterniity and the Love I have it is Heart Breaking to lose a single Chapter of Mine or anyone elses!
I bow my head to you and your sisters and shed tears!
I do not know all of the circumstances of course but I can still hurt for you and your sisters!
