The Monologues rock my world! I want to see the HBO special, but alas, I don't have cable on-campus. I did, however, see it my freshman year in college, when they performed it for Valentine's Day. V-Day is the day usually set aside for the performances; the proceeds of which tend to support groups fighting against domestic violence and sexual assault. It's such a great play, regardless of the monologues used in each performance. This year, my school presented a performance entirely of women of color, which was pretty great.
If you ever have a chance to see it, or even read the book, DO IT! The name might be a little shocking to some, but the experience is amazing.
