Deadlines have passed, but it is not too late. If they get there a week or so before recruitment starts, it is better than nothing. I honestly believe if you feel you are strong candidate it would not hurt to put your resume and photos in an envelope and get a copy to each house at UT ASAP. Let the letters follow and you don't need write a personal letter in the envelope you send. Get your name out there, get a house to start talking about you and when the letter comes...it just reinforces what you already sent. One thing I have figured out is recruitment success at UT is 100% about exposure. But the same goes for failure too. So if what you expose is good; success, if what you expose is negative; failure. Choose well, choose wise.
