I really do hate wire hangers. Anyone who knows me knows that I cringe when I see people putting clothes on wire hangers. Dry cleaners bother me because they use wire hangers. LOL. I'm not crazy about it but I am known for confiscating wire hangers and buying plastic or wood hangers and "ordering" family members to hang an entire closet full of clothes on the new hangers.

OMG! I HATE wire hangers! My husband dry cleans EVERYTHING and leaves these stupid hangers all over my house. I've found them in by bed under the covers. Sometimes I feel like Mommy Dearest screaming, "No wire hangers!!!"

Misuse of the infinitive.

I hear all the time, "The car needs washed."

No. The car needs "to be" washed.

Dr. Phil, I agree about the wire hangers. My mom loves them and I can't get her to dispose them.

Mine are primarily grammar related also.
"I seen"
"flustrated"

Or any botching of phrases such as "For all intensive purposes" <cringe> "waiting with baited breath" <cringe>

And, of course your, you're, their, there, etc.

No offense to AGDee, and any other members who were born and raised in Michigan, but I'm going to say my biggest pet peeve is Michigan drivers. I've never been to any state where people drive this slow and bad. It's really, really frustrating.

I also hate it when people run their mouths in the movie theater.

Michigan? You've never had the pleasure of driving around DC. Out of DC, MD and VA, I think Maryland drivers are the worst. I think that they were never taught that a turn signal exists.

I have to differ. DC drivers pale in comparison to Boston drivers.

^ Double-posting to say that Baltimore wasn't far behind D.C. in the rankings... as in, by one spot.

My husband lived in DC for a bit (in fact he was taught to drive there) And he claims ppl there don't use the signal because ppl would speed up if they knew you wanted to change lanes. LOL

Mine is the sound of grinding teeth. I've been known to wake someone up with a pinch if they do it while asleep. Also, I think I was crowned Grammar Queen, but that means when I make mistakes I CRINGE if I can't "take it back". I LOVE THE EDIT BUTTON!

Low water pressure. Long thick curly hair takes forever to rinse when the shower is but gently misting you.

Blotchy print in paperback books, especially when it's crystal clear on one page and blotchy on the very next.

When people say, "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less." I don't know why, but that bugs me the most. Also when people spell y'all, "ya'll." T_T

I think Einstein (or some other big-brain) did something similar to this, just so he didn't have to think about clothing.

You probably want to avoid ever coming to Pittsburgh or western PA in general. We do this ALL the time.

Didn't Einstein wear the same thing every day...?
