"Problem solve" used as a verb.

Part of me dies inside when I hear these.
I agree with the "at the end of the day" but Problem Solve IS a verb

Agree, 100% with this one!

Our buzz word lately is "employee engagement" and we take an annual "engagement survey". One of the questions is "I have a best friend at work" and we all complained about that question last time but it still appears. We are told to interpret as "I have people who support me and who I enjoy spending time with at work" but if that's what they want to know, then that's what the question should say.

What we all really want are raises for the first time in three years, our retirement matching back and the days off they took away back. That's it. We're all fine other than those things. Of course, they don't ask about that stuff!

Oh, and we have huddles now.

Every time someone says "touch base" I want to respond with "who the f are you, Roberto Clemente?"

I'm glad we're all ON THE SAME PAGE regarding how annoying this is and I'll TAKE IT UNDER ADVISEMENT that a VALUES BASED office might be a VALUE ADD.

I verb plenty of things, I just don't like when those things are buzzwords.

I'll AIM my friends later about it though.

touch 'em all, 33girl.

"POW WOW" when used in place of "meeting" or verbed. "lets pow-wow about this"

I've heard it used to mean easy projects/assignments -- taking the low hanging fruit to avoid more difficult work.

Or targeting the most obvious/easiest customers.

No, it wasn't Playgirl, lol.

I hate it when people talk about where something or someone "lives." As in:

"Let me show you where these files live." or,

"Can you take the interns to the second floor and show them where John lives?"

My boss uses a lot of these. He's also fond of saying that something is a "mute point".

No, not moot. Mute.

And it happens at least daily.

Our latest, which has appeared in the last few weeks is "the belt-and-suspenders approach".

Sorry, folks. You can have a back-up plan if necessary, you can be doubly certain, whatever, but the belt-and-suspenders things is infinitely more than annoying.

Any use of "granular", "organic" or "it is what it is".

I also hate people who misuse "myself". Please learn when to use "I" or "me", because it's very rarely going to be "myself" (which is used only for emphasis or reflexively).
