A well told and thought out Recruitment story - kudos! I'd like to think that the next time somebody posts that they only feel good about 40% of their sisters, or still wish they had turned down their bid, somebody familiar with your story will point them here.

You are remarkable! Gamma Phi Beta must be thrilled to have a sister like you!

Edited to correct spelling.

i would love to know, but of course it's up to you. definately an "up and down" kind of experience! However, I'm so glad you're happy with your sisters now! It's always worth giving it a shot, your dad was right. Just think, if you DO reveal what house you're in now, you'll likely have sisters here on GC!!!

Oh, please do tell us! I think any group would be proud to have sisters like you describe! This was a great story...keeping an open mind and trying to make things work can open you up for a great experience! I hope you enjoy the rest of your new member experience.

Thank you for sharing a very well-written, insightful story. You come across as more mature than many PNMs who go through recruitment and write about their experiences.

I am in agreement with Blondie93 on revealing yourself: only if you want to!

Either way, welcome to the wonderful world of GLOs, and I hope you find friends in every organization, just as I have.

I'm not much for recruitment stories these days, but this was a good one.

Firstly, I just wanted to thank you all! I've been lurking on GC for a few months now, and I don't think I could had the recruitment that I did without having read all the great advice on here.

Secondly, A few of you have already guessed what I school I go to via PM and after deliberating, I think I will share what house I ended up joining and what the other houses were (as well as the houses of my friends who helped me throughout all this, as those houses will always hold a special place in my heart too )

And without further ado, I'm extremely happy and extremel proud to say that I am now a member of GAMMA PHI BETA at the ALPHA IOTA chapter (UCLA)!

The code:
TOP HAT: Alpha Delta Pi (One of my friends ended up joining in spring, yay!)
MEMENTO: Delta Delta Delta
GIGI: Kappa Delta (A bunch of my friends ended up joining too!)
AMELIE: Alpha Phi (One of my good friends ended up joining in spring too )
PENELOPE: Kappa Kappa Gamma (My best friend and I are still that of course: best friends.)
PULP FICTION: see above
ETERNAL SUNSHINE: Pi Beta Phi (2 of my good friends ended up joining!)
FIGHT CLUB: Alpha Chi Omega

Also, my two friends whose houses did not participate in recruitment but were essential in helping get to where I am today are in Chi Omega and Delta Gamma.

I'm really happy to be part of the Bruin NPC family.

Thank you for sharing that with us. For what it's worth, I don't see where you've said anything that I would consider to be "OMG I wouldn't reveal your code" worthy (and we've seen a few of those in the past lol).

^^^^Agree completely. Everyone has preferences, but those preferences didn't define the OP. She took a leap and landed, right on her feet with her sisters.
