Nope. You can disagree with me in public all you want. I'm absolutely fine with that.

I'll stand up for my opinions and have an open honest debate about any of them. If I'm proved wrong then I'm more than happy to say so and change my opinion. However, I don't like people telling me I'm not entitled to my opinion or not allowed to express it. I'm fine with being respectful, I'm not fine with being silenced.

If someone feels disrespected, that's almost certainly a misunderstanding I'm happy to correct if they'll just talk to me about it. If someone wants to argue or otherwise tell me to keep my opinion to myself, then that's probably best dealt with by PM.

And, point of information. Even now no one has challenged my premise that west coast greek systems suck. I have only been cited specific exceptions and told not to make broad statements. No one has actually attempted to defend west coast greek systems versus other regions.

They have, by saying "speak for you you org only." Yes, we all know that you've made clear since you were speaking for your org only. But you've also continued to say everyone else is way off base for ever possibly thinking otherwise because . . . duh . . . this thread is in the ATO forum, and if the usual way of doing things here makes that somewhat irrelevant, well obviously we're all doing it wrong and you're here to teach us better. Do you really still not get that the issue people have been having with what you've posted?

Not only that, I think he's completely wrong when he says people were having a conversation "intended for a limited audience." Everyone's quite aware that everyone can read everything they say, and if not, they're made aware. The only other person I remember bitching about this was GammaZeta (but then, he pretty much bitched about everything - sorry if you're reading dude, but truth).

"The way it's done here" is apparently to disregard entirely your own structure and treat the place as one mass jumble of unorganized and disconnected mostly meaningless comments. In order to post anything you want anywhere you want at any time you want, but to be hyper-sensitive at the slightest possibility some broad negative inference might be made toward any region, group, or person.

If someone new comes along - regardless of what skill, experience, or knowledge they may be able to contribute to the betterment of the community - if they are not prepared to humble themselves before your "way of doing things," then they are invited to find the door. What then is left behind? What possible value can exist in such a watered down conversation?

I've tried very hard to make peace with you people, and few of you have attempted to work with me at all. I then said we can agree to disagree, but you wouldn't accept that. Finally, I simply asked you get off my back, and you refuse that plea as well. I've made every effort I know how to put this disagreement aside in a reasonable way so that we might have amicable and productive conversations on other topics.
