The clear cups are usually more expensive I noticed. Not to mention harder to find. Reminds me when I was in Walmart near a college. In the games section were ping pong balls and red dixie cups. I lmao when I saw that.

I remember once I was on a shopping run. I bought a thing of 100 cups since were having a mixer. As I'm paying for it the guy asked if I was buying them for beerpong. It was pretty funny.

Same at the Meijer near my school.

Also, my school gives out stacks of red solo cups and packs of ping pong balls during one of the Welcome Back events.

A Gamma Phi Beta friend of mine went to a small school in Idaho. Apparently the school hosted massive binge drinking events,

That would be the Albertson College of Idaho, and I've never heard of them doing that from anyone I know who attended or graduated, and the people I knew liked to drink.

They are a private school though, so they operate differently.

The ironic things is that she doesn't really drink often. And I think that's it because I remember her mentioning they were a private school. Who knows though, just stating what I heard.

I love when stuff like that happens... a lot of times when me and my roomie grocery shop we get weird looks from the cashier when you buy completely innocent items; cranberry juice, ice, coke...

I guess it just comes with the territory of being a college student

No this was in Shoprite. In NJ there is usually a Shoprite Liquor Store located next to teh ShopRite Grocery Store. I know some states like NY and Ohio allow grocery Stores ot sell beer.

Yeah in NJ you can only sell liquor in a dedicated liquor store. You can also buy bottles of beer from bars I know, but that is usually really expensive.

ETA: I lived in Ohio for a few months a couple of years ago. The first time I went grocery shopping I was shocked to see a beer section.

I still find it weird that you can only buy liquor from a liquor store in NJ... is that like a regional thing or only in NJ?

I don't even want to imagine how expensive it would be to buy from the bar.

Alaska - no alcohol period in grocery stores, though grocery stores can have a separate shop for beer, wine, and liquor.

Idaho - no hard alcohol in grocery stores, the state run liquor store is open from 11-8 Mon-Sat

Oregon - wine and beer in grocery stores, all hard liquor in liquor stores

Washington - wine and beer in grocery stores, all hard liquor state run liquor stores
