Teletubbies rock! Especially Tinkywinky!!

Anyway, even though I had a crappy week, I didn't lose any, but I didn't gain.

I'm back on track this morning.

P.S Journaling works so much. I recomend everyone do it, even if you're doing it on your own.

You girls are crazy. Teletubbies are up there with BARNEY for me.
My son likes LaLa. I think Po is kinda cute.

Congrats on not gaining this week!

I went to my meeting and I gained back the 0.2 of pound that I lost last week. I think it had something to do with all the water I drank after walking home from a Spring Training game I saw at my local stadium. To top things off, it was a hot day.

Ok well I didn't loose any but I also didn't gain. I guess maybe eating out twice in one week was a little much. Oh Well...Maybe next week.

I didn't realize this was a weightloss support thread. HEHE... YAY!

Anyway, I used to drink diet sodas all the time. I am also a type 1 diabetic. (Lady Pi Phi I think we have talked to each other before about this.)
I started working out at the beginning of the year. I don't NEED to lose weight, in fact my endocronologist was kind of against it. I guess when you start losing fat, your insulin can start acting funny because the large amounts I was giving last year were all being absorbed into the fat. Well now that I don't have as much fat as I did, I have had to hack my insulin levels in half! I am telling you, 2 units of humalog goes a long way for me now.

I started working out because I like having energy. I sit behind a desk all day. I need something to keep me going. While I wasn't overweight, I still liked the idea of having muscle and tone over just fat... which is pretty much what I was.

Anyway, my weight fluctuates every day. Just as long as you keep weighing yourself on the same scale you should be fine. But since I started working out in January, I have lost a grand total of 3 pounds overall and over 5 pounds of fat alone.

And ladies, if you don't already know this: if you are working out and eating right but aren't seeing overall weight results, get your body fat measured. Gyms/trainers do it. You are probably losing fat but gaining muscle... which weighs more.

And if you lose weight: reward yourself. I bought a new pair of shoes after I lost my first 5 pounds.

Yes, we have talked about our diabetes..woohoo go type 1 diabetes!!! No, not really, but being bored at work makes me a little crazy.

Yeah, when I started losing weight I had to cut back my insulin too. I was eating less and excercising more.
Basically the more fat one person has the more insulin they have to take and the more insuling you take the harder it is to lose weight...it's one vicious cycle.

Now I haven't been doing so well lately, but I'm slowly getting back on track. Hopefully I didn't gain any this week. I'll find out saturday.

i'm not weighing myself. since the point of me doing this is to get my cholesterol and insulin in order, that's what i'm going to be looking at. if i lose weight, great, bonus, but i'm not trying. i can't put myself through that kind of stress of gaining one pound and then losing two or whatever. i obsess about that sort of thing way too much.

That is an excellent goal!! My mo has a goal to lower her blood pressure. In turn that means she has to loose weight but her goal is to not have to take BP medicine anymore.

I missed last week because my mom was here for the weekend. Plus, I've been eating just about everything in sight (and in large quantities no less) so I'm not feeling all that great about my meeting in half an hour. I'm trying to be positive and remember that today is a new day, and I can start from here and do well. Plus everyone has setbacks right? And I have been doing the pms/period thing, so I can understand why I binged out as hard as I did. Right now I have almost a whole pizza and I don't know what to do with it. On one hand, I don't want it around because I'll be tempted to eat it. All of it. In a short period of time. But on the other hand, I don't want to waste food and money, so I just don't know what to do. Sigh. This is tough for me, but god, it's been long enough- I need to develop some self control and get in shape, there's just no point to how I am currently! Once I graduate and move back home I want to go to all the clubs and bars and not worry about looking chubby or being the heavy one in my group of friends. So that's the goal I'm kinda working towards I guess. More after weigh in, I'm oh so excited.
