More ignorant names

I taught middle school in South Central LA and here is a sampling of the names I've encountered.

-DezMashay (he's a boy)
-Lil' Iris (this is what is printed on her birth certificate - momma and grandmomma are Big Iris and Big Iris Jr.)
-Earthy (a boy)
-DiAngle (parents must've loved geometry)
-Orangejello and Lemonjello (twins but the names are pronounced like Orange'lo and Lemmonge'lo)
-Rick'Quana (momma's name is Juanita; daddy is Ricky)
-Jasmine (for a boy; mother thought she was going to have a girl and didn't have alternatives picked )
-Shithead (pronounced Sha'thead)
- Asia Aryan (sadly, this is my cousin Her mother must've missed the history lesson on Hitler and the Germans)
-Honee Cherry Berry (full name...no lie)
-Kashmoney (pronounced Kashmonet)
-DaShana (pronounced Dah-sha-Nay)

Enjoy!!!

In high school I knew a girl named Liisa. Pronounced just like Lisa, but spelled differently enough that she had to correct everyone, everywhere, every day. What is the point?

I still remember going to kindergarten with a girl and her little brother. They were African, and their names were Chika Chukudebelu and Chukudum Chukudebelu. Twenty years later I am still fascinated by those names...anyone know what language they might be from?
