I believe some states allow companies to contract with the prisons for the labor. They basically have a captive (ha,ha) work force. They pay them a minimal wage (only cause they have to). The problem is that if they are selling things, you may be that person who buys from telemarketer and provide them with your SSN, your credit csard number, name address,etc/ Next thing you know you have given a felon all the info need to find you. YIKES!!
