my collegiate chapter does something during Ultimate Frisbee Challenge, which is their big philanthropy event. they invite parents down for a dinner friday (they did a campus tour one year), then everyone is at Ultimate on saturday and some of the parents will form a team and play. Sometimes on saturday night, there is another dinner or something. They don't usually do anything Sunday b/c families often have to leave for home. But, you could do an easy breakfast. This chapter also does not have a house, so they will use rooms on campus and also check with local restaurants for deals on meals.
