Do u do anything for family weekend?
Hey Girls~ I was thinking of doing something for our parents for family weekend, however I have no idea what. We already do a parent daughter brunch in the spring. But I figured it would be nice because a lot of times families come down but there is not much to do on campus. Also none of our girls are legacies and I think that its a good way to show our parents what being in gamma phi is all about. Furthermore, to complicate things we don't have a house so I would have to reserve rooms and such on campus. Well I figured if anyone would have good ideas it would be you GCers. So let me know! For family weekend my sophomore year we did a luncheon on campus and had a local "Miss Manners" come speak about lunchtime etiquette. It went over pretty well.

my collegiate chapter does something during Ultimate Frisbee Challenge, which is their big philanthropy event. they invite parents down for a dinner friday (they did a campus tour one year), then everyone is at Ultimate on saturday and some of the parents will form a team and play. Sometimes on saturday night, there is another dinner or something. They don't usually do anything Sunday b/c families often have to leave for home. But, you could do an easy breakfast. This chapter also does not have a house, so they will use rooms on campus and also check with local restaurants for deals on meals.
