In Delta Sigma Pi, our pledges (yes, they are called pledges
) wear the pledge pin every day no matter what clothes you are wearing. It has been awhile for me, so I don't really remember if there were any "rules" like no wearing the pin when you're drinking.. or things like that. We had the "rule" about wearing it on the garmet closest to your heart though. As far as active member badges, those were worn with professional dress only.
When I was a "new member" of ADPi, we were not required to wear our Alpha pins all day every day... and attire for our Alpha pins was the same "meeting attire" as the initiated-sister pin.
