Pin attire question

Ok, I'm sure this has been answered before on here, but I want fresh answers.

During recruitment at my school, I've seen at least two chapters wearing their pins with jeans. I know in ADPi, this is totally not allowed.

Does your sorority allow wearing pins with jeans?

We weren't even allowed to wear any of kind of denim during chapter.

If anyone wasn't appropriately dressed for chapter, she was was not allowed to enter.

AGD has guidelines describing proper chapter attire and attire when wearing our Badge, and jeans and denim aren't on the approved list.

I've seen alums who wear the Badge with more casual attire, not sure why especially since they know standard protocol, but who am I to shoulder tap an alum? :)

We never wore our Badges during recruitment rounds since we were in casual clothing that matched the theme. Only during Preference.

i can only imagine the gasps that would be heard if some GC'rs showed up at my chapter...I've come in such classy attire as bike shorts, a unisuit, and PJ's. hehe. Just goes to show that it takes all kinds to make a world. ;)

We can't wear our badge with jeans. Badgewear is basically anything you'd traditionally wear to a job interview (most of us usually wear pant/skirt suits or dress pants with a blouse or sweater.

We were not allowed to wear our pin with denim, casual pants, or shorts.

Why would one want to belittle Their Organization by wearing a Badge with shoddy attire?:(

I did one time and felt bad, but, the only attire I had after a dicorce was about what I had on my back.

I don't recall ever being told not to wear my pin with jeans. The only hard and fast rule is that it be worn over the heart.

When I was a new member, we were "highly encouraged" to wear our NM pins at all times, as we were a brand-new, small colony and it was a form of advertising. So, yes, I have worn my NM pin with jeans. I feel a little differently about my badge, though, and would not wear it with jeans or other casual attire.

During recruitment this past semester, the national advisor for one of the sororities came up to help out with recruitment stuff. She was wearing her badge with pretty casual clothing (a skirt, a nice t-shirt, and nice flip flops), so I'm guessing that that particular sorority doesn't have as many rules persay about how the badge needs to be worn.

Our NM pin was to be worn and visible at all times. When on a tshirt, most of us wore it over the heart. When on a hooded sweatshirt, most of us wore it at the the base of our necks to prevent it being rubbed lose by backpacks.

I think it also has to do with regional definitions of "dressed up." To my first alum chapter function, I wore kakkis and my badge, and got such a look of shock from a member orgainlly from U of Tenn. I got the same look from one of our older members (shes been in the organization for at least 50 years). Meanwhile, at my chapter we thought kakkis were dressy enough.

Do the ADPis wear their badges with on their azure Cat suits? IF so where do they pin them? :p

LXA, no patch pockets, which would mean jeans.

But, We must remember, this is not the days of old. The Fashions, styles, and living/dress conditions have changed so much!:(

To few dress to look professional!:(

We can't wear our with any kind of denim (jackets, jeans, shirts, skirts, etc), flip flops or anything casual-ish, so ours has to be worn with business attire.

We definitely can't wear our badges with denim or flipflops!
