Lelee (SWV) Recording New Reggae Album

Lelee is currently working on her debut reggae album! That's right, a reggae album. Lelee recently drafted Michael "Jahmikes" Coburn to produce her first reggae album. Jahmikes is an incredible reggae producer who has worked with such talents as Luciano, Sean Paul, Sizzla, Elephant Man, Wayne Wonder, Dennis Brown, Johnny Osbourne, John Holt, Kymani Marley, Toots, Greggory Isaacs, Lady Saw and now... Lelee of the sensational R & B group (SWV-Sisters With Voices).

Platinum recording artists SWV have reportedly entered the studio together, once again. Taj,LeLe, and Coko's claim to fame was their 1993 debut "It's About Time"(3X Platinum). Coko commented on the project by saying, "First I will release another solo(LP), then we will release another group record." "The music will be new and revolutionary", says Coko about the music that will be on the group disk. "It's like Destiny's Child, but done the right way." The new SWV record is slated to hit stores sometime in the Summer or Fall of 2005. Look for Coko's solo LP in the first quarter of 2005.

Recent pic of Xscape

Here's a new pic of Xscape all 4 together. However, Kandy is not present as you can see. They have a new girl, her name is Keisha. BTW, Xscape is suppose to be working on a new project now.

What in the heck is DC3 done the right way? Hummm could she mean that everyone in the group can actually sing without sounding like Phoebe singing Smelly cat.

You know at first I thought that was Kandi because they have the same GIANT smile. It's a shame that Tiny didn't wear that outfit to TI's album release, she looks MUCH better in this pick.

I LOVE me some SWV but I'm kind of iffy about this new project. And Coko's coming out with a second solo CD, did anyone buy the first? I sure didn't.

In my opinion, Destiny's Child has been doing just fine...even with the solo albums. It didn't take them until the next decade to make their group album. Don't get me wrong, I like SWV just as much as the next person, but, does anyone think that was said just drum up some kind of publicity???

I'm with you. I would have taken that comment better from T-Boz and Chilli. At least TLC and DC have the established reputation of being a stellar group. From hiponline.com: "Let's say that you are one of the biggest selling female groups, ever. Your combined record sales total over 40 million records, worldwide. You've seen your albums debut at the top of the charts, and stay there. You've racked up enumerable industry awards, accolades and platinum or gold records. Not only is your group successful, but its individual members have all had superlative solo achievements and as a result you that collectively and on your own, you are what modern female pop/R&B is meant to sound, feel and sell like." I actually found this article on DC while searching for information on SWV, who was mentioned in the article.

SWV is cool and gave us great songs, but Coko just was not on point for saying something like that. Record sales don't mean everything, but they sure do say a lot about what Destiny's Child must be doing right.

I hope Coko and SWV do well. Bless 'em.

Please!

I'm sorry if I don't have the patience to look, but I hope someone will post D'angelo's mug shot. I gotta see what the Tom Joyner morning show was talking about!

CT4: Thanks for posting him as Heavy D. I really thought that was Musiq after sprouting a few inches and losing some melanin. (It was the glasses....) He needs to share the secrets because he's looking great!
