From what I've gathered reading GC and such, at the interest meetings for NPHC groups, women are often required to wear business attire (I'm guessing this is a suit). It shows that you are not there just to "party" - you are there to take care of the business of the sorority - and that you can present yourself in a professional as well as ladylike manner.
NPHC ladies, if I've spoken out of turn, please correct me.
