GPHI2k,

What a wonderful idea.

AXO Alum, glad I could be of service. *L* I find it strange that I could keep you rolling. Thats great though. I always enjoy reading your posts as well.

Ok, heres my contribution. I dont really like advertising this but for the sake of this topic I will. I had a cornea transplant on July 29, 1999. I found out that I had come down with a corneal condition called keratoconus(the front side of my eye which becomes like a flat tire and distortes vision). They have no explanation for what causes it. Anyways, if I would have gone without the transplant, I would have became nearly blind. In my other eye I still have the condition and am saving the money or getting coverage where I can do the other transplant. Well, the surgery was a success and I have a 19 year old cornea in my eye. They cut out my old(front side of my eye) one and I was awake the whole time. It took me about 8 months to recover with 20 stiches in my eye but now theres no stiches and I'm doing great. I see 20/30 but before I saw 20/400. Major difference and it was a miracle.

Kevin
