I just got asked out my a 38 year old on Saturday nigt (I'm 22). (Or cornered by a 38 year old.) I justified the whole reason that I couldn't date him when I realized my dad would kick his ass. And he shouldn't be dating someone who's dad still looks to kick guys ass. He's at the stage where fathers usually say, take my daughter, please! (The usual dodging age response i.e. me saying, I'm really immature for my age didn't work cause trust me, he's really immature for his age.)
I told my dad the story and his whole response: I'd kick his ass.
And he was really weirded out.
I am squmish about age - for me, 4 years up, only 1 year down. The whole idea of dating an undergrad for me right now is totally unappealing. But in the same respect, someone who's seriously looking for 'the one' (not that we're all not looking) would stress me out cause I'm no where near there either. Age is one thing, where you are in your life is an entirely different matter altogether. And a guy who says, wow you were born in the eighties?!?! Yeah, seriously a minus.
