You do ask some odd questions.
I'd say most sex toys would be fine washed properly with soap and warm water. The viruses leading to STDs do not generally last long outside the body; soap would assist further. Any residual bacteria (particularly if they were used anally rather than vaignally - don't look at me I didn't start this thread) would be also removed with the soap. Using hand wipes is ... possibly okay; but you'd need to make sure they were anti-bacaterial not just baby wet wipes.
You don't
have to buy new toys I suppose. I don't think a partner would be terribly impressed if you told her "you just have this try this! when it was stuck up my last girlfriend she went wild!".
