I am sorry to tell you but your Fraternity has gotten the story wrong. It would be impossible for a Sigma Nu to have helped to found Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity considering we were founded in 1845 many years before Sigma Nu was founded.
"Brother Wilson" was a key figure in the national spread of Alpha Kappa Pi Fraternity. Alpha Kappa Pi Fraternity was eventually, (along with many other Fraternities) consolidated into Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
