Sometimes teachers are not aware when children have medical conditions. When I began teaching a few years ago, the nurse would disclose illnesses to the children's teachers. Then a little time after that, it became illegal to disclose the children's illnesses. I thought that was stupid. I think I need to know if one of my students has epilepsy (which one did) or diabetes (which another did). It became a case of me trying to pick up on clues.
