But it also says "check back later this afternoon". What time zone are they in????

Question isn't the WHOLE site supposed to be changed? If so, logically, I can't seem them "taking down" PO to "change it" and then them "shut down" the entire website to change everything else. Because once the entire website is being updated we can't go to the "new and improved" PO anyways.

I was told in an email from GC that the website will be up and running by the end of the month. Also that unless something terrible happens with the site, they say it is a definate that it wont be pushed back. Keeping fingers crossed for next week.

Yes, the entire website is being changed - I have seen the "working version" at VLS - the Technology Committee was able to show attendees some of the new screens.

I believe the current status is that each page has to be reviewed by council to ensure all the language is what we want it to say - there are many more links than we currently have and I imagine that it is taking council a lot longer than originally expected to get through that. I was also told that we have more content on the site than originally planned - they purchased some amount of space with room to grow & have begun to fill part of that space up.

I have specifically seen the member search screens and the "chat" screens. There'll be a basic "chat room" for instant chatting and a forum almost identical to this one.

Schah. I did too... about two weeks ago, when I first saw the "Pride Online down" message.

Maybe they're working hard to add all of the new alphas!

hah! they haven't even added some girls (like me) that were initiated in october... no way they're adding the new alphas yet.

It usually took them about a semester to add "new" members but since the member search has been down for over a year now on PO, who knows how far behind they are.
