Just to add to what Mary posted: the only reason your cousin(s) couldn't write you a reference would be if they are currently chapter members at the same school you attend. From your post, it sounds like they are from different chapters, so they CAN write you references (even if they are still in college).
It's great that you love Theta, but be sure to go into recruitment with an open mind and heart, too. What fun to meet so many people and get a glimpse of their great organizations!
