Hi everyone,
I'm going to be a sophomore at Arizona State in the fall, and I am hoping to pledge Theta. 4 of my cousins are thetas at other schools, but my mom was not in a sorority and my sisters are younger so I am not a legacy or anything. My question is, I'm not quite sure how to go about getting a recommendation letter and was hoping someone could let me know about the process and any advice you have about rush. Thank you so much!!!

If 4 of your cousins are Thetas they should be able to get you a recommendation if not write one themselves.

On a side note, I would check out the Rush forum if I were you. There are several threads there about the recruitment process and about recommendations.

Just to add to what Mary posted: the only reason your cousin(s) couldn't write you a reference would be if they are currently chapter members at the same school you attend. From your post, it sounds like they are from different chapters, so they CAN write you references (even if they are still in college).

It's great that you love Theta, but be sure to go into recruitment with an open mind and heart, too. What fun to meet so many people and get a glimpse of their great organizations!
