My FI and I are getting married in September. We met because of ADPi. We met at a mixer between ADPi and Lambda Chi Alpha.

So far, my dream wedding is coming true. We have tons of people. I have a large bridal party, and I have the perfect wedding dress.

I may have found the tiara I've been looking for:

With all these counseling sessions, all of my plans are up in the air! I do know that, since I'm getting married for a second time (although this will be mr. honeychile's first), I want to get married at Christmastime - the church will already be decorated to a frenzy!

I only know of one attendant who I'll have but I told her that, when we see a certain color of deep blue in a dress that flatters her, we'll jump on it! Last year, I saw *the* dress for her, but couldn't get in touch to get her size! It was a fairly plain, deep blue velvet, ballet neckline dress. It was mid-calf, but since she's short, that will work out fine! Mr. honeychile's eldest sister's step-granddaughters are just too adorable not to include, and I think they could find something similar without much problem.

For flowers, I want magnolias & pink roses. I haven't seen a photo that does that justice yet, but I know what I want.

My dress will be the hardest, as it's based on my favorite cocktail dress. I want a two tones of white (white, and not-quite off-white?). The basic dress will be almost a sheath, and over that, I'd like a chiffon jacket, cut almost like a feminine riding habit, only with a slightly ruffled lapel & back waist. Does that make sense, or should I try to drag out a photo of my cocktail dress?

I'm scared that I'm jinxing things by even saying this much!

PS - we got engaged at Orlando, too!

I want to get married in the Winter and that is a wonderful idea since I live in Tucson. I want to be barefoot or in flip flops of some kind. I really hate shoes. My dress would be White and baby blue or white and burgundy with embridered flowers at the top and bottom and a big train or I want a big pouffy one. I would want my wedding at a baseball stadium since I love baseball so much and it is mostly the players faults. My bridesmaids would be in a color and a dress that actually makes them look good. I want a sparkly rinestone tiara kinda like the one Audry Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. In speaking off Tiffany's I would like the ring from there. A nice pretty round solitare. I want my bouquet to be red and white roses or the pretty orange ones I keep eyeing at the Safeway floral department. The cake will be white with strawberries in the middle and also chocolate since I love chocolate. I can dream for awhile since there is no man in sight and I think my friends are getting sick of setting me up eventhough they just found another one for me. We'll see about this one

Ok my wedding is gonna be a little diffrent, I want to get married in a Kimono. My bridal party will either wear kimono too or something really basic but pretty. I'm not sure if i'd have a traditional catholic ceremony or something a little more nonconformist I guess it depends on who the groom is ;-). Oh, and my number one pick for wedding location (since money dosen't matter here) is the stair case in the gardens at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. my reception is going to take a little bit of a japanese slant too, At a japanese reception the bride wears a beautiful coat called a Uchicaike over her white kimono, but this is only for the first portion after introductions and such she changes and will wear several elaborate outfits throughout the night (this is supposed to symbolize that she is ready to return to the real world when everything is over). So I thought with dancing and all that it would be a good thing to incorporate and then I could wear a more western style dress for the remainder of the reception. I also want kareoke, and instead of champange for a toast I think i'll do sake, Kenpai! and I want to give out little cereamic lucky cats for favors. Can you tell i've thought about this alot? Anyhow theres you Japanese culture lesson of the day.
