Personally, if I was Monica Lewinsky, it would be Linda Tripp who I would be furious with, since she taped their phone conversations without permission and then told the whole world.
Numerous women are enthralled with men in power (married or not) or famous, which is why pro sports players, politicians, actors and musicians are so often involved in extra-marital affairs. Personally, I don't think any of those women are emotionally mature. It doesn't excuse the men who get involved with them from their responsibility.
That being said, just because they are political figures, famous people, it doesn't men it's any of our business. Monica was totally set up by Linda Tripp. If Linda Tripp hadn't spilled the beans, it would have just been an affair that went the way that most affairs go, rather than a national event.
I agree with the poster who commented about what JFKs presidency would have been like with today's attacks on politician's personal lives.
