It's not going to happen; McCain is more conservative than people give him credit for, and there's no way he would run on a Democratic ticket.
Kind of off topic, but does anyone have any stats on just how much of a divider social issues like abortion and gay marriage are? I honestly didn't think that those were real dividing lines between the parties anymore.
