Just spent what was supposed to be a relaxing long weekend away... Unfortunately someone booked a youth soccer league (preteen to early teenage kids) into the same hotel. I can think of no other word to describe the children than as an infestation. Kids running up and down the hall, screaming and yelling, at all hours of the day and night. They overloaded the elevators because they had to go back and forth from their rooms (on all different floors of the hotel) and the pool every five minutes. And one of them pulled the fire alarm at 2:15am, prompting an evacuation of the entire hotel.
Where were their parents? In the bar getting $h!tfaced. I even ran into one mother walking around the hotel with a large glass of vodka. Her idea of supervising her 10yo son was telling him "go back to the room and fetch your brother" while she got in the elevator to go down to the lobby bar for a refill.

We had our State Day the same weekend as MS/HS basketball playoffs and I don't think the hotel staff knew which was worse...a bunch of sorority collegiates and alumnae or MS/HS kids running around...
