Ah Glitter I'm here. I have been lurking on the boards but not posting much because life has been too hectic.
April 22nd my father was in the hospital and almost died from an e. coli infection. The doctor told dad if we had waited a couple hours more there wouldn't have been anything they could do. To top it all off dad had a slight heartattack while he was in the ER. After spending a week in CCU and then another week in the regular hospital he was able to come home a week ago monday. Then last Thursday mom was put in to the hospital for a staph infection in the area where she was treated for breast cancer last year. I won't even talk about my sister with liver cancer, the friend who passed away this semester plus one of my best friends husbands being diagnosed with testicular cancer (have your boyfriends, brothers, and fathers check themselves please) that has spread to the lungs this has not been a good 2004 for me.
In the meantime I lost almost three weeks of working on papers etc for school while visiting dad (and then mom) in the hospital and making sure the other one was okay. They were all due last week and my professors gave me an extension to this week to finish them up so I'm trying to get caught up.
At least I've gotten some good news in the last few days. One of our good family friends who has been trying to have a baby for the last 8 years went to a fertility clinic to see if that could help her. It turns out when she went to the clinic they said that she is pregnant. Plus her sister just announced that she is getting married at the end of the month. Finally good news for me.
