My 2 best girlfriends are from childhood. We've all been friends since the 4th grade, and although they aren't greek, they had no problems with me joining, going to a different school, or anything. Now, after college, we are all STILL best friends and 2 of us are getting married, and we will be in each other's weddings. The think I like about DZ, no matter where I go, what I do, if I meet another DZ, it's almost like we bond instantaniously. This might seem superficial from an outside point of view, but I really like that I share something in common with so many unknown 'friends'. It makes you feel good that you can go just about anywhere and find SOMEONE who was your friend before you even met them.
