There are only 5 panhellenic sorority on my campus and yet some of treat each other so bad. There are even rivalaries (not sure of the spelling) against two or more.
I don't know maybe it's just my campus or just girls in general, but it make greek life, no make that sorority life look bad. Why would someone want to join a sorority if they have to deal with this.

i definately know what you mean by this... in my school there are definately a lot of rivalries and problems between sororities... i know that my org gets along with most everyone... and i know girls in all of them... but we've defiantely had our problems iwth other orgs coming after us and talking about us... two sororities in particular get violent and have had serious problems... its pretty crazy
most of the fraternities get along... but one of the nationals and one of the locals hate each other and are always fighting with one another... its pretty scary- and i have boys in both orgs so sometimes we get stuck in the middle... ir eally hate it- and sometimes the fighting is "valid" as in- i can see why they were upset or whatever- but i don't think it should have turned physical...
its stressful and often reminds me of high school.... i guess it just comes with the territory though... the only thing to do is to try to not get involved...
