When groups are pitted against each other, there always has to be a winner and a loser. Competetion is a natural occurance, if we like it or not.
I think you'll find that not every campus is the same in the "hating" aspect. Even with the fraternities. We've had boys sent to the hospital during Greek Week for cheap shots in street hockey or flagernt fouls during basketball games.
While the girls didn't send anyone to the hospital, we are vicious on a whole nother level (and I say we as in girls in general). While there has been anamostiy towards certian panhel groups, other groups can get along. I also feel this happens on a personal level as well. IE, one of my close friends is ABC. I hate her sorority, as a whole, for things they have done to me and my sisters. But I still love her to death.
