What was your fireside song?
Since we are talking about firesides, which I loved too...
What was the format that you used for them?
We sang "Candle Lighting Time" and then if it was a pinning or engagement we would sing "She's An Alpha Gam" after the announcement...
Then, if we had a sisterhood fireside we would maybe have certain girls read or say whatever was on their mind and maybe some girls would play "Special Family" or we would sing "Friends" and/or each pledge class might sing their pledge class song. Ours was to "The Rose".
I think that for the 50th Anniversary I am going to suggest that we plan a fireside for one of the events...wouldn't that be awesome? Just like the feeling that I got when there we so many Alpha Gam's in one room for Initiation at Convention. That was a "wow" moment.
