I kind of get hung-up on the 9s. I don't like thinking that the coming year means the decade is turning. I SWORE 40 wasn't too big a deal, but I was lying to myself! THIS birthday was a bummer and it may last one more year-till my NEXT B-day! I share the same day with...UFPIKE! LOL!!!!

What a lot of young people can't believe (I certainly didn't) is that
your 50s are probably the BEST time of your life. The kids are gone, the flames heat up, and you are a dating couple again. I can't speak from the perspective of a single person, it may not be a comforting feeling. I don't know.

If you asked me what some of the "coolest" B-days were, I'd say
27-no longer a kid, now a young woman.
33 and 36-GREAT ages
42-OK

I think the real mark of a B-day change comes when, in the morning, the first thing you look at is the Obit page!
Try not to do that. I had to way too soon because we deal with elderly people. Depressing!
