However, I do get one week off after the bar exam before I start work on March 8. I guess that's kind of like spring break, except I REALLY will be out of money in a month. So unless I plan on hitchhiking to Key West, I'll just have to make do with the pools at my apartment complex.

But I do have one thing going for me - I agreed to start work earlier (originally supposed to take 2-3 weeks off after the bar) in exchange for a week vacation in August. One of my best friends graduates in May and will be starting work for our firm in September, so in August we can take a trip together and I will have $$$ by then!

I am very proud of my vacation-negotiation skills. Anyone who knows anything about first year associates at law firms knows you don't usually get them to let you have a whole week off during your first year. I seriously didn't think I would get it, but I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, and I lucked out!
Yeah, this is my last year... I'm hoping to take full advantage... though i did have to negotiate the time off....

Its been so cold here all i can do is dream about sunshine

I hope there's still snow! I live not very far from Copper Mountain and have been meaning to go skiing but haven't gotten around to it yet...

I am going on a cruise from 2/15 to 2/22. We're leaving from NYC, staying in Florida, and then onto the Bahamas. I am so excited!

Not sure... Hopefully can go on a road trip.

We'll see though.

It'll be something spontaneous if anything. I hate planning trips.

I went to Chicago this summer for a mini vaca, you'll have so much fun!

As soon as you get there you should open up the guide book at your hotel. They list all of the best clubs, comedy shows, places to eat etc.. Our first night there we did one of the dinner and a shows thats offered ( it had some mob theme, I can't think of the name of it though) it was a blast, everyone had a really good time. They also do a tour of the city and show you all of the places where all of the mob related history went down in the twenties. It was a lot of fun and you got to see the whole city- I think it was like twenty bucks for an hour and a half tour- definetly worth it.

A bunch of the girls want to go to Cancun after I get back from Barcelona, but it's sooo expensive (for what it is)... the cheapest thing I've been able to find is like $700 for 3 nights... i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to make it.

I swear the promise of spring break is the onlything getting me through this semester.

That sounds ridiculous....is it through a student travel service?? I know you're saying that $700 is a lot, but my friends last year paid approx. $925 and they stayed for 7 days and food/airfare/hotel was included......

Umm, i think it was through STA... not sure, to be honest. Whenever i look into going somewhere, i usually use a wide variety of sources (ranging from STA, to that other one that i can't remember... student advantage i think, to orbitz, expedia, travelocity and travelzoo)...

I do think it was STA though....I don't know how I feel about dropping sooo much for some place that i went to several years ago for under $500 (4 nights)

Ireland, baby! I'll be in either Cork or Dublin for St. Patty's Day, and then I'll travel around the countryside for a week or so. I'm excited!!!
My "spring break" here is actually 2 1/2 months long, middle of Feb - end of April, so I'm sure I'll be doing plenty of other trips, too!

Edited because I can't spell.
