Spring Break Thread!!
Last week, I looked at the calender and realized that my spring break is in about a month... I've decided to go to Barcelona... it's got a good mix of everything.... beach, city, etc. I found a flight today for $380 rt through Orbitz (do you believe that??)
Still looking for a hotel though.... Anyone else made their spring break plans??? Who are you booking through?? |
I've heard bad things about Orbitz.
I'm going to Washington, D.C., to tour schools and do the standard touristy thing. |
yeah, orbitz sucks. try travelocity.
|
I've used orbitz a lot and never had any problems.
I bought my ticket to Texas for Chilifest for about $330. I use it for hotel reservations a lot as well. Kitso KS 361 |

I'm going to Hilton Head Island, SC. Yeah I know I'm a Floridian, so I'm supposed to go somewhere warmer, but it was free (boyfriend's mommy has a timeshare!).

I graduated in December so I don't get Spring Break anymore!!!Booooo!!! :(
However, I do get one week off after the bar exam before I start work on March 8. I guess that's kind of like spring break, except I REALLY will be out of money in a month. So unless I plan on hitchhiking to Key West, I'll just have to make do with the pools at my apartment complex. But I do have one thing going for me - I agreed to start work earlier (originally supposed to take 2-3 weeks off after the bar) in exchange for a week vacation in August. One of my best friends graduates in May and will be starting work for our firm in September, so in August we can take a trip together and I will have $$$ by then! I am very proud of my vacation-negotiation skills. Anyone who knows anything about first year associates at law firms knows you don't usually get them to let you have a whole week off during your first year. I seriously didn't think I would get it, but I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, and I lucked out! |
