Did you all see some of the bruhs with white dates?
Were the awards for music omitted this year or not televised? I thought I remember the show acknowledging music (categories), too.

I agree, this was our BLACK tie affair. I was impressed that people kept their speeches simple. I found most of the speeches to bring tears to my eyes, especially Steve's, Mo'nique's, and Terri Vaughn's.
I liked Nicole Ari Parker's dress. It was nothing like Toni Braxton's Hanky/curtain/slip.
I don't know if anyone caught this but when they were singing AMEN and were spotlighting Sidney Poitier, but there was a sista behind him at the awards wearing DENIM CAPRIS, I was sitting there looking like

Shalom Everyone~
The Good: Bill Clinton admitting that he is African American...see, that's something I've been hollering out for 8 years... "Bill is Black, Bill is Black...look at Chelsea, her hair is nappier then mine, her nose is wider then mine, her lips are fuller then mine and the gurl got more back then me!" Don't think ol' boy was joking when he made the joke/comment...I'm telling you WILLIE (Bill) IS BLACK!
Shalom~

Okay, here's my GB&U:
Good: The tribute to Steve Harvey. Rickey was too funny.
Bad: Arsenio's hair. He looks like a girl.
Ugly: Babyface's hair! Ughh!
I ALMOST DIED LAUGHING WHEN... Chris Tucker was joking w/Bro. Bill about Harlem.

I really wish some of the Bruhs would get over finding fault every time a Soror mentions a frat that's not Omega. Pretty much everyone knows that Steve and Ricky are Bruhs, and if they didn't, you just told them. Regardless of all that, it was IRRELEVANT to what I was saying. I'm sure neither of them are losing sleep because I didn't shout them out. Maybe if there were more Bruhs who acted like they have home training, maybe I wouldn't prefer Kappas...but that's another thread for a different day.
BTW, if you're so into the ACKNOWLEGEMENT, why haven't you wished me a Happy Anniversary yet??

Aww Sis, why you gotta pull a Michael Jackson on me and get all sensitive. I was just joking with ya. I would be glad to shout you out on your anniversary. Now that I have been cyber-spanked with a rolled-up newspaper and properly paper-trained, I will post my anniversary congrats to you.

My personal favorite moments: I was moved by Sidney Poitier's speech - so dignified, elegant, and eloquent. Ah yes...and the banter between The Rock and Chris Tucker. (I just wish The Rock had done his eyebrow-thing, but he didn't oblige... )

the GOOD: I just love to see my people dressed up and acting dignified. The grammys and other music awards leave a lot to be desired.
the BAD: My ex has been swearing for the last year that Mr. Moore is gay. I didn't think that that was the case, but I think yawl might be right. He is a little tooooo happy all the dang time.
the UGLY: Arsenio's hair, Baby Face's hair.
Was that NECESSARY: Gerald Levert humping like he aint had none. I am not a fan of Gerald at all. I am going to get flack for this one but so what. I cringe each time I hear someone talk about Bill Clinton being black or being the first Black President. He was a good president, and I would vote for him again if he was able to run, but I don't have the affection for him that most black folks seem to have. Was it necessary to give him that award? I am no longer a member of the NAACP, so my voice really doesn't count. I am just sick of black folks acting like he is one of us, when he is not. We are on his d%^& more than Monica ever was. Ok, I am getting off of my pedestal.
the I AMLOST DIED LAUGHING WHEN: Ced was funny, and so was J Anthony Brown.

 Gotta love that!
Oh...By the way, I don't know if anyone on this thread is in law enforcement, but if so, can you please find the person who continues to steal the buttons, snaps, and/or zippers off of all of Shemar Moore's shirts and arrest them!? I mean D@mmit, man...we get it! You think you have a great chest! Thaaaank you...NEEEEXT! For the love of God, put something all the way on at least once! I'll give you a dollar....

Man, Arsenio's hair must have looked really bad based on all of these comments. I saw him a couple of weeks ago with some twists, locs, or whatever it was and I must say it was NOT cute at all.
