I feel you on the High School drama of V-day. I never received a flower, candy, baloon...NOTHING for V-day. But that is OK. I am working on getting over that!!!
But I must say the worst gift that I got on V-day was my sophmore year of college. I was "dating" (well what I thought was dating) this guy for about 4 months. He had just pledged Alpha, so I bought him an Alpha coozy and a baseball cap. When he got to my house, he gave me a card that was stupid and he sighed it your "???Your Friend????".
I was more hurt than mad. I really thought we had gone past the "friends" thing. But you live and you learn.
