What's up, girl? Looks like you have an interesting task before you. If you want more information about Metabolife try looking at the website at Metabolife.com. Metabolife works by speeding up your metabolism (the rate at which you burn the nutrients you take in for energy). As we all have found out the hard way, this usually slows down in our mid to late twenties. Remember when you could eat what you wated and would gain no weight (well we know what's going on now). Metabolife also decreases your appetite and helps the body expel waste products. Finally it gives you energy. The main ingredients are chromium (proven to help with weight loss). It also containds ephedrines (naturally occurring caffeine). This is what gives you the energy, decreses your appetite and acts as the diuretic. You get the same effect if you dringk coffee (your appetite is decreased, you will have to use the restroom and you'll have more energy). The thing is that ephedrines are like amphetamines. They speed up the heart rate and decrease blood pressure. If you were to take a drug test after taking ephedrines, you would test positive for speed. Headaches, jittery-ness and heart palpitations (scary) are the most comon side effects. It does work, though. Just consult a physician before taking it. I would opt for an intense exercise and diet plan. Most people who are trying to lose weight fast should, without a doubt, drink 64 ounces of water per day. If you exercise, drink at least a gallon. Your diet should consist a lot of protein (found in eggs, fish, poultry and meats, also soy). When I am trying to stay real trim, I limit my carbohydrate intake. Many warn against this but it works for me. There are two types of carb (simple and complex). Your body utilized carbs for energy. Evereything you eat has carbs. What I did was I only ate 100 carbs per day. Usually no later than 2:00 p.m. That way I would burn the carbs during the day doing normal activities like walking around my office. I cut down on breads (I only ate whole wheat breads), pasta (unless wheat), NO SUGAR, no white rice (only brown), NO POTATOES. You'll notice that people who want to "bulk up" for like muscle contests eat a bunch of carbs (it puts the weight on then they just sculpt it into muscle). If you eat more carbs make sure you burn it. Eat foods high in fiber as well. Take in less calories than you burn per day. The recommended number of calories is 2500 for men and 2000 for women (average). The average american takes in 3400 calories per day. What does that mean? For African Americans it may be more because the foods we eat tend to be higher in calories. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 3 days per week. I would say to exercise more, though. Like an hour a day 4-5 times per week. It takes your body the first half hour to realize that it is going to burn fat. The other 30 minutes is where the burn happens. Get some weight training in, too. The more lean muscle mass your body has, the more calories you burn at rest. In other words, muscle burns more calories than fat.
I know you weren't expecting all of this but this is my life. I am a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer as well as a health science and kinesiology masters student.
PS A sauna or steam room work great for stress, the skin and help eliminate toxins from your body. They also make you sweat (you'll burn fat this way, though not a whole lot).
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Oooooooo-oop to my Devastating Sorors!!!
