If you've been friends for five years,
you also knew he wasn't the romantic type...Being in a relationship doesn't change someone to make them into who you want them to be...So, you really don't have any right to expect anything more than who he is unless you CLEARLY express that...
Also, sometimes, dreams don't live up to expectations...
