Sad Times...
To be honest, if the allegations are true, I will be sick with grief! I can't believe that we still have chapters out there that are willing to revert back to the days of hazing...it's wrong, it's stupid and the entire chapter should be dealt with as harshly as possible.
Man o man...now is not the time for these things to be happening. Lambda Chi has so many great things going for it right now - and thanks to those who've decided to not live the ritual in their daily lives, we are now going to be forced to take reactive steps to secure our prominence in the fraternal world. We should be out there praising our chapters for things like the NAFD, brotherhood and fraternal development...
Living in Iowa (Simpson Grad), I know the pain and angst of trying to get through a public mess. To this day, I still get questions of my continued involvement with a fraternity that allows its members to drink to the point of death. And that was over 5 years ago!
I, and I hope others believe this, have no time or patience for chapters that haze. That is NOT what we are about...never has been and never will be.
